All of this is at once transparent and seamless to our customers. We present a single interface to you, while the complex interactions between program managers, designers, procurement specialists, factories, testing teams, all remain within SANDMARK. Our responsibility is to supply you with products with specified quality in timely fashion.

SANDMARK maintains a 30,000 sq.ft. Electronic Contract Manufacturing facility in Baltimore MD. This facility has all the standard PCBA manufacturing, testing, and repair/reworking equipment. In addition, we have procurement, program management, and engineering personnel located here. The primary functions at this facility are:

	Small to medium quantity builds

SANDMARK maintains and has relationships with a number of facilities in India and China that allows us to offer 'Asia' pricing for medium to large quantity builds. Programs are not transferred to our production facilities until they are qualified by our US team. All program management activities are still managed by our US personnel. Our facilities span Tier 1 to Tier 3 cost structures, allowing us to match your production to the optimal setup. Component prices, which represent the majority of the cost, will be globally sourced, both in the USA and Asia (see Procurement Services).

SANDMARK provides comprehensive warehousing and logistics services as part of our delivery package. Our partnership with shipping and warehousing companies throughout the USA allows us to warehouse your inventory in close proximity to your factory, or even collocate within your factory, accommodating any material supply plan your Company follows. We also provide warehousing services in various regions of Mexico, including in the free trade zones by warehousing at facilities across the border on the US side.

Our factories in Asia cover the full range between Tiers 1 and 3. Each Tier factory has particular cost structure. By identifying the right Tier factory for your product, we can ensure that your product will be produced for the lowest possible cost while meeting all the requirements. Not all products require Tier 1 facilities. The choice of the right Tier facility depends on a number of factors including complexity, process/equipment requirements, and quantity requirements. Blindly producing all products in a Tier 1 facility simply means that manufacturing cost is unnecessarily inflated.

If a product can be produced by a Tier 3 facility, and is appropriately manufactured in one, you benefit from the dramatic cost saving that is realized. SANDMARK will work with you and your personnel to determine the optimal manufacturing facility your product requires.

If your typical product mix is high-mix, low-volume, you understand the complexities of managing production. Asynchronous demand, large BOMs, MOQ requirements from component suppliers, just-in-time delivery pressures, all tend to drive up the manufacturing costs and make it difficult to offload the actitivies to a typical contract manufacturer. SANDMARK specializes in high-mix, low-volume programs. Our hybrid approach bringing our USA engineering, procurement and manufacturing infrastructure together with our Asia procurement and manufacturing resources allows us to offer you signficant overall cost savings to you.
